I've included a link for you to sign up for messenger.  This will allow you to know when school holidays are here, school closing due to holidays, or inclement weather. Also when intrims are coming out along with report cards.  You can set it up  to receive it through emails, home phone or cell phone.  Just follow the link and you'll be walked through the necessary steps to set it up.
